A true pioneer in the natural health products industry in Canada, Aldo Dominguez, armed with only personal knowledge and a commitment to a healthy, balanced lifestyle, opened the first Nutrition House store in 1979 in Scarborough, Ontario. Today there are over 70 Nutrition House locations across the country.

His vision, philosophy on wellness and expertise in an industry that constantly re-invents itself, was recognized by most as the “man who set the standard for ethics and education in the natural health industry.”

He believed in the people who worked with

him, and encouraged them to be leaders within the industry. His passion for living and generosity of spirit left those who knew him moved, touched and inspired.

To everyone that knew Aldo, he was special. With his ready smile, strong handshake, and effervescent personality, his passion for life constantly shone through. Aldo’s terminal battle with Lymphoma may have ended January 12, 2004, but his dedication to health will now continue to help Canadians in their own struggle against cancer. Inspired by his fight with Lymphoma and his love of holistic health, Nutrition House proudly supports a research fund in his name, The Aldo Fund.

An annual fund for complementary and integrative cancer research and education, the fund was created in partnership with the Holistic Health Research Foundation of Canada. The Aldo Fund provides the opportunity to continue Aldo’s passionate commitment to natural health.

Monies raised through the Aldo Fund will support the CAMpaign for Cancer initiative of the Holistic Health Research Foundation with a focus on advancing our scientific understanding of the role that natural and integrative approaches can play in the prevention and treatment of cancers.
